If you run into error “No new pictures or videos were found on this device” when trying to import photos from your iPhone to computer, follow tips below and the problem should resolve.
Iphone No Pictures Were Found On This Device Using
My computer recognizes that my iPhone X is connected. It shows up as a “drive,” and iTunes will let me back it up. But for some reason, it thinks there’s no pictures to import, and Explorer won’t let me get into the folders. As Apple explains: 'If your iPhone is low on space, full-resolution photos and videos are automatically replaced with smaller, device-sized versions.' Therefore there is no need to delete photos. Step 2: Opt for the ‘1-Click Free Up Space‘ tab and then tap on the ‘Photos‘ icon below so as to direct your photos on the iPhone device. Step 3: On the subsequent window, tap on ‘Export Only‘. IMyFone Umate Pro would export your photos on iPhone to the PC. Then, tap on ‘Open Export Folder‘ for accessing iPhone photos on the PC. This is not a question. The purpose is to get it into Google for others to find. Here is an interesting one I just came across: a customer got an update to her iPhone (11.1) and whenever she plugged her iPhone into Windows 7 Pro Sp1, it would tell her 'No new pictures or videos were found on this device'.
Firstly, make sure that your PC is allowed to access your iPhone
While you connect the iPhone to the computer, a message will pop-up asking you to allow this device to access photos and videos. Tap the Allow button.
Secondly, turn off the passcode temporarily
On iPhone, go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode. On devices without Touch ID, go to Settings > Passcode. There, tap Turn Passcode Off.

Remember to turn the passcode on after you are done downloading the pictures and videos.
Thirdly, rename file “PreviouslyAcquired.db”

In Windows 7, navigate to C:Users[username]AppDataLocalMicrosoftPhoto AcquisitionPreviouslyAcquired.db (In my case, the [username] is Camilla.Mo). Then rename this file.
If you don’t see the file, it may be hidden. Follow steps below to show it.
1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Click on Organize and choose Folder and search options from the drop-down menu.
3. Select the View tab, under Hidden files and folders, then click the Show hidden files, folders, and drives radio button. Click OK button to apply the changes.
